Experience project
Duration: September 2004 - October 2004
This is the project in my New Media class. I am proud making this project. The goal was to create media art pieces from my experience.
I chose my experience in February 2002. It was my nightmare. I involved in two car accidents in the first week then my ankle was broken when I was playing basketball the week after. At the end of the month, my Dad got sick and was sent to an emergency room.
However, after the terrible month of bad luck, things got better the way they should be. My ankle healed and my Dad was fine. I met my beloved girlfriend in April and I went to the US to study three months later. Well, there's a part of the lyrics from Aerosmith - Amazing that said "life's a journey, not a destination. And I just can't tell just what tomorrow brings..."

The First Piece - Typography |

The first piece that I was assigned to create. I had to tell my story using texts only - no color, no animation. See it for yourself whether there is my story in my typography design.

The Second Piece - Color |

The goal of the second piece was
to tell my story using color. All of my classmates used
color with a combination of animation. However, I wanted to see if I can put the feeling of my story
in the static image. I satisfied with the outcome.

The Third Piece - Sound |

The third piece was to tell the story with sound or music. Luckily, I used to record my piano playing during the time I was down in 2002. It was just my expression to all the bad things and hope that they will all get better. I edited the sound in my favourite movie - Jerry Maguire to add creativity. It is a beautiful music.

The Final Piece |

One of the best flash pieces I have ever made. However, there is no great drawing in the Flash, only simple drawing. The good thing about this piece is the flow of the story. The story in this flash piece are combinations between serious and funny feeling, it is how ironic the story is.

Indiana Board of Animal Health (BOAH) Project
Duration: October 2004 - November 2004
It was a team project in my New Media class. The goal of the project was to create the interactive promotional piece for the Indiana Board of Animal Health in Flash. The final project contains videos and the file is so large that it is not available to download, only screenshot is shown.

Audrey Hepburn is always one of the greatest actress in the history. It would be interesting to create a notepad interface that is more than a simple text area.

Calculator Interface from KSwiss Ads |

KSwiss contains small pictures of a person holding or wearing KSwiss shoes. The calculator interface was designed by this inspiration. Also, I created this piece to learn how to do the Flash programming. It is a functional Flash calculator.

Music Player Interface from Frantz Liszt's La Campanella |

La Campanella is one of my favourite piano pieces. Nicolo Paganini was originally composed this piece as an Etude (study) for violin. Franz Liszt brought the piece into piano transcription. La Campanella means "A little bell." That is why I created the interface like this.

Since the evolve of digital camera, people tend to take more pictures and also post them on the internet. I am one of those people. I love to take pictures. I have many good set of my pictures and I will continue putting them on this page.
